\nNepal es el primer pa\u00eds del mundo en aprobar la entrega de pasaportes a miembros de la comunidad de Lesbianas, Gays, Bisexuales y Transexuales (LGBT).<\/span>
\nLa activista transexual de 37 a\u00f1os, Monica Shahi, que recibi\u00f3 el primer pasaporte del mundo que reconoce la orientaci\u00f3n sexual de una persona, inform\u00f3 que el campo \u201csexo\u201d dentro del documento es rellenado por una \u201cO\u201d de otro, en lugar del habitual \u201cM\u201d de masculino o \u201cF\u201d de femenino.<\/span>
\nLa iniciativa ha sido aplaudida por todos los movimientos sociales que defienden los derechos humanos de los transexuales a escala mundial<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span>

\n\u201cNo puedo describir mi felicidad, mi pa\u00eds reconoce y respeta mi identidad\u201d, sostuvo Shahi al tiempo que recalc\u00f3 que su lucha ha sido para las generaciones futuras. \u201cAhora cualquiera puede lograr lo mismo con esmero, lucha y dedicaci\u00f3n\u201d, dijo mientras exhib\u00eda su pasaporte.<\/span>

\nLos nepal\u00edes que conforman la comunidad de LGBT saludaron la iniciativa del Gobierno de reconocer las luchas que emprenden para ser vistos sin ning\u00fan tipo de exclusi\u00f3n por su condici\u00f3n sexual.

\n\u201cEl reconocimiento en el pasaporte es el resultado de una larga lucha y hoy estamos orgullosos de nuestro pa\u00eds por adoptar este paso\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 la representante del colectivos LGBTI nepal\u00edes y presidente de la Sociedad Diamante Azul, Pinky Gurung.<\/span>
